It’s my attempt to map the feeling of "home" when you’re made of 2 different worlds. By mixing the rough pineapple fibers w/ the bright shimmer of metallic paint, I wanted to show the messy, beautiful work of fitting in. It is a portrait of the immigrant spirit w/ grit & effort of belonging.
