Bonsai Demonstrations

Friday June 27 & Saturday, June 28

1:00 pm

Learn more about the art of Bonsai from the skilled members of Mokuhonua Bonsai Kai and Hilo Bonsai Kyoshitsu clubs. Demonstrations will start at 1pm on both days of the exhibit.

Introduction to Acrylic Painting with Bonnie Sol

Wednesdays, June 4, 11, 18, and 24

10am - 12pm

​Sponsored by HIAA

 

This is a 4 classes workshop -2 hours each day -

 

Course will cover use of materials, techniques and composition. Students will start with color exercises and a step-by-step introduction to painting.

MidSummer Art Celebration

Saturday, July 5

5-7pm

Join artists to celebrate the opening of the MidSummer Art Celebration. Live music and refreshments provided by HIAA. 

Short program including the announcement of awards at 5:15.

15th Annual Abstract Only!

Opening Reception 

Friday, August 1, 5 - 7pm

Join us in celebration of the opening of the 15th Annual Abstract Only Exhibit. We will start with a kīpaepae to welcome visiting artists from the Shanghai Abstract Artists Association, then a short program to announce award winners and Hawaiʻi artists selected for the sister Shanghai exhibit.  Live music and refreshments provided by HIAA.
