WELCOME to Wailoa Center!

Wailoa Center is a Division of State Parks, Department of Land and Natural Resources and Hilo's largest venue for showcasing the work of local artists, community groups and cultural events.  An exciting variety of month-long  exhibits which are free and opened to the public can be viewed in the circular building's two galleries. Visitors can also get information about art and cultural resources, attractions and events on the Big Island from the Center 's knowledgeable staff and volunteers stationed in the Main Gallery.

Wailoa Center works closely with  Hawai'i Island Art Alliance (HIAA), who serve as "friends of Wailoa Center", sponsor regular juried exhibits at  the Center and offer a variety of art workshops and classes. To learn more about HIAA
